
Jalandhar November 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The results of Inter Zonal Youth Festival organised by Guru Nanak Dev University from 20th – 22nd November 2022 were declared today in which Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar once again shone brighter and registered its name in the golden book of history by proudly winning and owning the overall championship trophy. It scored 130 marks exceeding 44 marks from the second runner up college. Khalsa College, Amritsar and Layalpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively in these competitions. The college also won the individual trophies for Theatre, Fine Arts, Music and Folk.
The closing ceremony of this 3-day festival Inter Zonal Youth Festival was conducted under the aegis of Dr. Anish Dua, Dean, Student Welfare and Director Youth Festival, GNDU. On this occasion, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor and Dr. A.P. Singh, Dean, Shri Guru Ram Das Health Sciences College were present as the Chief Guests. They appreciated and admired the efforts of the students and their respective mentors for burning midnight oil and their powerful and impactful performances.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated all the winners and expressed her happiness over this moment of pride and success of Apeejayites. She especially admired the efforts of Dr. Amita Mishra, Dean, Youth Festival and Dr. Arun Mishra, Cultural Advisor, College for being the ultimate guide to all the students and their mentors to be the champions of Youth Festival. She also said,” From the past 21 years, ACFA has been creating history and owning the trophy as a result of its dedication, sincerity and hard work.”
Total 96 colleges participated in Zonal Youth Festival
On this occasion, Dr. Anish Dua, Dean said,” In total 96 colleges participated in Zonal Youth Festival, out of which 33 colleges reached Inter Zonal Youth Festival and Apeejay College of Fine Arts left everyone behind and established its dominance and won the overall championship trophy in both Zonal and Inter Zonal Youth Festival. “
Dr. Neerja Dhingra also shared that Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar had participated in 28 items, out of which it bagged 1st position in 15 items, 2nd in 11 items and 3rd in 2 items.
