Jalandhar March 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a Poster-making competition for students on the theme ‘Press Laws’ in India. This competition was organised on various subjects related to ‘Press Laws’ such as ‘Contempt of Court,’ Copyright,’ ‘Right to Information,’ ‘Official Secret Act,’ and ‘Law of Defamation’.
Aditya Sahni, Nandini Singh, and Ritik Sharma obtained first, second, and third positions, respectively.
Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her opinions about the significance of this competition. She said that it is essential to make students aware about ‘Press Laws’ and ‘Media Ethics,’ so that they can perform efficiently in this field without getting stuck in any legal problem. All the students participated in it with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Dr. Dhingra congratulated all the winners and inspired them to participate in such activities in future too. She acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Ms. Nivedita Khosla and Ms. Surbhi Tandon for successfully organising this competition.
