
Jalandhar January 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Basant Panchmi Festival was celebrated in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya by the Student Council of the College under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen welcomed the guests of the day Mr. Narinder Bajwa, ADC and Sh. Amandeep Singh, SDM Phillaur. Saraswati Pujan was done by the Head of the Institution Dr. Ajay Sareen along with the Chief Guest of the day Mr. Narinder Bajwa. Saraswati Vandana was recited by the students of Music Vocal department under the guidance of Dr. Prem Sagar.
Mr. Narinder Bajwa presented the Yellow Kite to Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen as a symbol of Happiness and Prosperity for the College. On the occasion, the kite flying was also done. Wishing the success to the College, the chief guest also pulled the string of the kite and made it fly higher. The Prasadam (Sweet Yellow Halwa) was distributed among the students, faculty and staff members of the college.
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen showered her wishes to the students. The teachers and students of Student Council were wearing yellow clothes and offered flowers to Maa Saraswati – the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge. The stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. On this occasion, all Deans, and members of teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
