
Jalandhar February 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- With the intent of Corporate Social Responsibility, CT Institute of Pharmaceutical science South campus Shahpur organized a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ under the guidance and supervision of the civil hospital Jalandhar and Hindustan welfare blood donors club (Phagwara). During the camp, 100 students and faculty members donated their blood voluntarily.
A contingent of 10 team members comprising doctors and technicians from the civil hospital Jalandhar and the Hindustan welfare blood donors club (Phagwara) contributed effectively to the camp. Dr.Gurpinder (BTO, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar) and Vikram (President, Hindustan Welfare Blood Donors Club), and NeerajBakshi led the team of nurses and technicians. The students were counseled on the safety and significance of Blood Donation in societal interest.
CT Group Vice Chairman, Harpreet Singh highlighted the importance of Blood Donation which can help to save thousands of lives. He inspired the students to come forward and donate blood to safeguard the lives of others.
Dr. Parminder Nain (Director, Pharmacy Colleges, CT Shahpur campus) and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur (Principal, CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) said ‘that we strongly believe in sensitizing our students towards developing social sensitivities and a strong need for blood donation drives amongst the youth of the country towards the cause. It is certainly a good way to solve the problem of blood shortage in India.
