Jalandhar February 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Department of Business Management, CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology (CTIEMT), south campus shahpur, and NSS Wing of CTIEMT jointly organized Mock Drill on Earthquake and spreading awareness among the students and staff members, that how can they safeguard themselves for such a disastrous natural occurrence which tends to be beyond one’s control.
In this Mock Drill run with regards to earthquakes, Staff members of CTIEMT made the students aware of how during the time of earthquake movements the nearest escape can be followed and the furniture and fixtures can be used as an effective tool against safeguarding the life of an individual and self. Nittan Arora, Deputy Director of Student Welfare expressed his views that, what has happened in some countries recently due to such natural disasters, has put everyone on their toes about making sure that, all must have an awareness regarding it.
He instructed students that in this adverse situation, the emergency exit should be followed and there should not be any panic and lifts must be avoided. He also instructed that, if one is driving a car or bike he must stop at the nearest safest point as the vehicle may go out of control due to earth-shaking.

Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Director of Campus has supported this Mock drill on strengthening the intellectual level of the students and said, it does not matter whether one is at the home, office, or at some other place- these kinds of unfavorable situations are always a part and parcel of life and it is always better to be prepared about facing such adverse situation in a positive way.
