Jalandhar September 5 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Two DAV University students have broken new ground by securing international placements. Harpreet Kaur, a Civil Engineering graduate, and Tushar Sharma, an MBA student, have been offered lucrative positions by GTB Holdings, a prominent US-based company. The groundbreaking placements come with an annual package of Rs 32 lakhs each, a first in the northern region’s human resource field for MBA graduates.
Harpreet Kaur will assume her role as a Civil Engineer in Armenia in November at the company’s ambitious steel plant project. Tushar Sharma will join as an Assistant HR in June 2024, upon completing his MBA.
The rigorous recruitment process consisted of two rounds, including an aptitude test and a personal interview. The candidates’ exceptional performance throughout the selection process earned them these prestigious positions.

Dr. Manoj Kumar reiterated the university’s commitment to innovation and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to facilitate the growth and development of its students.
Dr. Manoj highlighted the university’s comprehensive approach to student enrichment and training programmes. Placecom, a company specializing in student training and placement services, organized a sensitization programmeto understand the students’ training needs. Vishal Sood and Om Kanoujia, resource persons, conducted training sessions to groom students for placement success.
He said, DAV University also places a strong emphasis on meeting students’ training requirements. Kiran Chaudhary, the Placement Officer at the university, credited the use of technology and advanced pre-placement techniques for the impressive 300 percent increase in students’ placement packages.
