Jalandhar March 3 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Dragon Boat Team of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar won 44 medals in 14th Senior National Dragon Boat Men/Women Championship held at Karnataka (Bangaluru). Team Captain Priya Saini got 7 medals, Pragati got 5 medals, Manjot Kaur got 5 medals, Gurulagandeep Kaur got 4 medals, Anjali Sharma got 3 medals, Lalita got 3 medals, Pooja got 3 medals, Prabhjyoti got 3 medals, Priyanka got 5 medals, Harman got 3 medals and Priya Gill got 3 medals.
Total 44 medals were won by the team in 14 different events of Dragon Boat. The team was welcomed in the college premises during morning assembly on the beats of Dhol. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated team members and coach Sh. Amandeep Singh Khaira and said that they have brought laurels to the college. She also congratulated the Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Dr. Kanwar Mandeep Singh, Director Sports, GNDU. Sweets were distributed in the college.
On this occasion, faculty members of Sports Department Dr. Navneet Dhadha and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur were also present. HMV family danced on the beats of Dhol and expressed their joy.
