
Jalandhar March 4 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In collaboration with Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar, Lok Manch Punjab today honoured three eminent Punjabi literary figures in an impressive function organized in the college. Prominent story teller Waryam Singh Sandhu was conferred with ‘Aapni Awaaz Award-2022’, renowned poet Madan Veera with ‘Kavilok Award-2022’, and Sukhwinder Amrit with ‘Aapni Awaaz Mahila Award’. The Aapni Awaaz Awards included one lakh rupees in cash and a souvenir, and the Kavilok Award comprised thirty-one thousand rupees.
The chief guest of the event Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar was welcomed by Principal, Hans Raj Mahila Maha VIdyalaya Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Lok Manch Punjab Chairman Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal. The event was successfully organized with the great efforts of the head of Punjabi department of the college Mrs. Navroop. The stage was conducted by Mrs. Kuljit Kaur.
Lok Manch Punjab Vice President Dr. Harjinder Singh Atwal said that in this event Dr. Baldev Singh Dhaliwal, Dhahan prize winner Balwinder Singh Grewal, and Mrs. Navroop presented their views on the honoured writers. Letters of honour were read by Mrs. Veena Arora and Dr. Sandeep Kaur Sarhali. A large number of students and scholars including AtmParkash Singh, Surinder Saini, Deepak Bali, Santokh Singh Randhawa, Satnam Singh Chana, Dr. Ram Murthy, Rakesh Shantidut, Jatinder Hans, Harish Agarwal were among other present in the event.
