Jalandhar April 3 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Department of Hindi of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized National Webinar. Dr. Vandana Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages, Central University of Jammu was the resource person of the day. The topic of the webinar was “Stree Vimarsh: Struggle for existence and identity”. Dr. Vandana explained the meaning of Vimarsh and also gave the information about its need.
In her speech, she expressed her views in the context of women’s identity in Simone de Beauvoir book ‘The Second Sex’ and Mahadevi Verma’s ‘Links in the Chain’. She did not talk about destruction but construction and talked about presenting solutions regarding the protection of women’s existence and ending the struggle for identity by the new generation.
In the end, Dr. Neena Mittal Associate Professor, Department of Hindi extended vote of thanks to the resource person and the participants. President Shri Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Management Committee and the worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar congratulated the Hindi Department for successfully organizing the webinar.
