
Jalandhar August 3 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Innovation Council of HMV attended the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) 2023 addressed by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. The session aimed to transform India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. The event was graced by Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Ministers of State for Education Smt. Annpurna Devi, Dr. Subhas Sarkar, and Dr.Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh, along with other prominent figures from the education sector.
During the event, PM Modi inaugurated the ABSS at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, coinciding with the 3rd anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020. He also released the 1st installment of funds under the PM SHRI Scheme, benefitting 6207 schools with a total of 630 crore Rupees. Additionally, education and skill curriculum books were translated into 12 Indian languages.
In the valedictory session, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan expressed the commitment of Shiksha Parivar to implement the NEP and make India a knowledge-based superpower. He emphasized converting the education gathering into an All India Institution and strengthening the school ecosystem. He also stressed the importance of skilling in Indian languages and converting NCF guidelines into textbooks

Capacity building of teachers was highlighted as a priority, with plans to develop 300 institutions as centers-of-excellence. Dr. Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh praised the event for advancing India’s honor, time, and future-ready workforce, showcasing a unique education system blending tradition, logic, and culture. Dr. Subhas Sarkar acknowledged the significance of NEP 2020 in addressing education challenges and fulfilling aspirations, appreciating the dedicated efforts of the Education Ministry.
Smt. Annapurna Devi emphasized India’s potential for new possibilities and advocated using mother tongue as a method of instruction in schools as a vital component of NEP 2020. The event featured 16 thematic sessions, engaging various stakeholders to discuss and strategize NEP 2020 implementation. Significant MoUs were signed, covering higher education, school education, and skilling sectors. An exhibition showcasing educational initiatives and the skill ecosystem attracted 2 lakh attendees, including students and youth volunteers.
The ABSS 2023 celebrated achievements, deliberated on challenges, and fostered collaboration among education stakeholders, reinforcing the commitment to make India a knowledge powerhouse. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and IIC Incharge Dr. Anjana Bhatia motivated the team members to contribute towards realizing the vision of skilled and developed India.
