
Jalandhar August 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Students of HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School celebrated the Red Letter Day in the history of India, Independence Day Eve with fervour and enthusiasm in the campus. The students came all dressed in tricolour to express their patriotic feelings. Tricolour badges were put on the Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, School Co-ordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha, Mrs. Arvinder Kaur Beri. Continuing with the celebration, the students displayed the posters depicting the patriotic fervour.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the organising team for celebrating nationalistic feelings and appreciated the artistic and creative aspect of the students. She further added that it’s the moral duty of every citizen to serve the nation with heart, mind and soul. She said that Independence Day celebrations should not be limited to just one day, rather each day of the year should be celebrated in the light of patriotism. On this pious occasion, Dr. Prem Sagar and his team from music department along with the students touched the hearts by singing patriotic songs.
Dr. Seema Marwaha, school coordinator wished independence day to all the vigorous students present there and added that independence is the responsibility which must be articulated with honesty, sincerity, and integrity. She conveyed that these events are fruitful in instilling the feeling of national integration among the students . She further said that we must make every possible effort to lead the country towards the path of progress and development. The faculty members from college and collegiate sections were present in this exuberant event dipped in patriotic fervour. The stage was conducted by Ms. Shrishti and Ms. Ashu. The celebration was ended with the recitation of the National Anthem.
