Jalandhar April 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar conducted various Inter-College District level SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) activities on the topic ‘Importance of Casting Vote in India’ in collaboration with Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Students from different colleges of District Jalandhar participated in these competitions.
Under this category Essay writing, Speech competition, Rangoli, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Poem and Song competition were held from 29th March to 31st March 2023 participated various colleges Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar, LKC Jalandhar, DAVIET Jalandhar, Meharchand Polytechnic Jalandhar, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar and Govt. College of Education Jalandhar.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen gave best wishes to Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovation and Research and Head of Botany Department and Political Science Department Mrs. Alka Sharma and Dr. Jiwan Devi for conducting these competitions and motivated the students to take part in the events for the boosting their confidence and to become more self reliant.
A voter awareness rally was also carried out in the campus. Students and faculty members of the college held a rally in the college campus to motivate the students on ‘Importance of Casting Vote in India’. Ms. Harmanu Incharge NSS and Lt. Sonia Mahendru Incharge NCC joined the rally along with their volunteers and prepared banners for motivating slogans and raising slogans in the rally. Around 150 students enthusiastically participated in the rally.
