
Jalandhar September 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized State Level International First Aid Day in collaboration with Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed Chief Guest Sh. Shivdular Singh Dhillon, Retd. IAS, Secretary State Red Cross Branch Chandigarh, Sardar Amarjeet Singh, Field Officer, State Red Cross Branch Chandigarh, Sardar Inderdev Singh Minhas Tehsildar, Retd. Secy. Red Cross, Jalandhar, Sh. Kulwinder Singh, Coordinator First Aid Training, Punjab State Branch Chandigarh.
Programme started with lighting of the lamp and DAV Gaan. Principal Dr. Sareen congratulated Red Cross Society for organizing this event. She said that human life is very precious and we can contribute in saving it. She appreciated Red Cross Society for their commendable work. Chief Guest Sh. Shivdular Singh Dhillon explained the working of Red Cross. He encouraged the youth for serving humanity. He said that we can save lives by joining this society.
Sardar Inderdev Singh Minhas also gave brief information about Red Cross Society. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. Students got practical knowledge of First Aid under the guidance of Instructor Sh. Pawan Kumar. Programme Coordinator and Red Cross Advisor Mrs. Deepshikha gave vote of thanks. On this occasion, Red Cross Incharge Mrs. Pawan Kumari, Member Dr. Vandana Thakur, Distt. Training Officer Ms. Sunita, Asstt. Commissioner Set Zone Ambulance Mr. Pawan Kumar Sharma were also present. The programme ended with National Anthem.
