Jalandhar December 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Human Rights Day. The celebration was jointly organised by Department of Political Science, Department of Human Rights, Student Welfare Department and NSS Unit. This event was organised both in online and offline mode. The students showcased their talent by preparing slogans, PPTs, Posters and e-cards on the theme of human rights .All the students from college and collegiate participated with great enthusiasm in the activity. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi informed the students that KMV was the first institution to start the course of Human Rights in the region at under graduate level. She discussed with students the world’s human rights priorities in 2021 and also about the priorities to look out for in 2022 .She further motivated the students that by respecting the rights of others and performing their duties with full sincerity will make relevance to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, given by United Nations and the related rights, given in the Indian Constitution. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Mrs. Ashima Sahni, SVEEP Coordinator, 36 Jalandhar North and Head, Department of Political Science, Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Dr.Harpreet, Dr. Iqbal Singh&Ms .Zeenat for smoothly conducting the online celebrations of Human Rights.
