Jalandhar October 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- A 6-week workshop on Entrepreneurship Promotion and Skill Development Program was organized by the Department of Design, Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar, in association with ‘Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Government of India’.┬áPrincipal Neerja Dhingra, warmly welcomed the Director of MSME Shri Virendra Sharma and Assistant Director Shri Kundan Lal on this occasion said that it is our pleasure that our students will be learning from the experts and will have the basic knowledge of start up owing to their experience and knowledge in the field of business and industry and thus taking directions from them, will be able to become self-reliant.

It is a known fact that startups are in demand in the contemporary times and she is sure that through this workshop, students will be able to learn the nuances of industry and business and will have all the practical knowledge.

Addressing the students, Shri Virendra Sharma, Director, MSME, said, ” It will be our endeavor that within 6 weeks, we will provide you every basic information of startups, how to benefit from the government’s economic schemes for startups, how to use Intellectual Property Rights, find market demand and to get things to the consumers in the shortest possible time and at the lowest rates.” He assured the students that they will try to fulfill all the expectations they had regarding this workshop with utmost sincerity.

Mr. Kundan Lal, Assistant Director also assured the enthusiastic students that in this workshop of 6 weeks, they will try their best to pacify all their curosities and the guest lectures will be conducted by the subject experts on the relevant topics and various business activities too will be conducted.

In this workshop, 25 students of Final year of Fashion & Textile and Interior Design were selected who are keen to to have their startups right after finishing their degrees.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Ms. Rajni Gupta (HOD), Ms. Rajni Kumar and the other faculty members of Department and encouraged them to keep continuing with such good work which benefits the students in practical terms.
