
Jalandhar November 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organised a lecture based on the life and philosophy of Sister Nivedita. The lecture was organised by the Student Welfare Department. In this lecture, Mrs. Karishma, while addressing the students, apprised the students in detail about the life of Sister Nivedita and the work done for the service of humanity. While addressing the students, where she described Sister Nivedita as the most influential women related to India, she also discussed about the important work done for the upliftment and education of women according to the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Presenting sister Nivedita as a well-known writer and great teacher, she also described her as a great source of inspiration for patriotism among the people of India due to her immense reverence and love for the country of India. Apart from this, she also focused everyone’s attention towards the contribution of Nivedita ji in promoting Indian history and culture. Talking further, she told that Nivedita ji’s life and various important works done by her still provide guidance to people in living a positive life.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed her gratitude to Smt. Karishma for providing important information regarding sister Nivedita ji to the students. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Mrs. Veena Deepak, Coordinator, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School and Mrs. Anand Prabha for successfully organising the event.
