KMV is the only college in Punjab to be recognised as a high performing IIC institution to act as mentor
Jalandhar February 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been recognised by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, Government of India as a high performing Institution Innovation Council institution with the star rating of 4.5 to act as mentor to the other IIC institutions those who are in need of guidance and support.
KMV is among the top 155 institutions (including universities, engineering colleges and management institutes) all over the country to be selected as mentor institute as a part of Mentor-Mentee Programme of MoE’s Innovation Cell. Under this Mentor-Mentee Programme, KMV conducted online orientation sessions with the students and faculty of Government College, Ropar and Guru Hargobind Institute of Law for Women, Ludhiana.
During these sessions, various innovative and entrepreneurial initiatives and achievements of students and faculty of KMV were shared with its mentee institutions. Moreover, the mentee institutions were also encouraged to develop networks with experts for inter-institutional collaborations and resource mobilisation.
Also, the future course of action and various issues concerning planning, organising and conduct of activities at mentee institutions were addressed.Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya is performing brilliantly in terms of conducting Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) activities and has successfully developed the support system and competencies to drive the campus Innovation & Entrepreneurship ecosystem efficiently.
Madam Principal congratulated Dr. Rashmi Sharma, President, KMV IIC and lauded the efforts of IIC team for the successful conduct of orientation sessions for KMV’s mentee institutions.
