KMV marks the celebration of 74th Republic Day with the Flag Hoisting ceremony

Jalandhar January 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) in continuum with the rich traditions of the yester years hoisted the National Flag to mark the celebration of 74th Republic Day. The flag hoisting ceremony was performed by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. The flag was hoisted to the chanting of Vande Mataram and the National Anthem. In her address, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this Republic Day celebration is dedicated to our brave soldiers & martyrs.

Prof. Dwivedi exhorted everyone to remember that many valiant and precious lives had been lost during the freedom struggle & India stands strong amongst all the nations of the world committed to world peace and harmony. She also averred that every citizen should follow the path & direction given in the constitution in order to make our beloved nation more prosperous, strong and happy. She also made everyone aware about their Fundamental Rights granted to us by our constitution & also maintained that along with their rights, the citizens should also remember their duties towards their beloved motherland.

Prof. Dwivedi also honoured 7 NCC cadets

On this occasion, Prof. Dwivedi also honoured 7 NCC cadets who had performed exceptionally well during national level NCC camps organised from timeto time.

Senior under officer Vajinder Kaur was awarded for overall best cadet 2022-23, under officer Shruti Singh was awarded for overall best performance and best cadet 2022-23, under officer Shruti Karwal was awarded for getting DG Commendation card, best in cultural and drill, Sergeant Vinakshi Choudhary was awarded for best participation in overall NCC activities, Sergeant Shweta Rana was awarded for best in Command and selection in Guard of Honour, Sergeant Bhoomi Chaddha was awarded for attending maximum number of Pre RDC camp 2022-23, under officer Yashika Sharma was awarded for attending Thal Sainik Camp 2022-23.

It was indeed a celebration dedicated to the freedom of our beloved motherland.
