Jalandhar November 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always empower students in order to develop their personality. Recently NCC Cadet of KMV, under officer Shruti Singh has brought laurels to KMV by attending 10 day straining at prestigious Officers Training Academy camp 2022.She was the only cadet selected from the Jalandhar group for training at OTA Chennai&was also selected as Best Cadet of Jalandhar group.

A 10 day training at OTA gave a lot of exposure of army life to her as she learnt discipline, honor of nation and leadership qualities. Training included PT exercise, cane drill, SSB lecture,lectures on Indo -Pakwar, Indo China war, Kargilwar, leadership traits and personality development classes. Cadet was also exposed to WEDA (weapon equipment display area) where different types of missiles, tanks and weapons have been kept that were used during the war.Cadet also got an opportunity to fire with INSAS rifle which was used during the Kargil war.

Principal Prof Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such trainings are a vital part of holistic education. She further maintained that NCC at KMV works zealously to come up with a variety of opportunities and activities everyday so that girls can emerge as the future leaders of the Nation. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the Department of NCC for providing such opportunities to the students. Commanding officer 2 Pb.(G)Bn.NCC Jalandhar Col. Narinder Toor congratulated the cadet for her excellent performance in the training camp.
