Jalandhar February 4 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized an ‘Educational visit’ to Pukhraj Organics. The visit was organised by P.G. Department of Botany in coordination with Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- Institution’s Innovation Council. During the visit, students visited Pukhraj Organic India Pvt Ltd., Jalandhar where they learnt about different products of the industry and the preparation of various herbal product like natural immunity booster, health, skin care, wellness care products, energy tonics and many other cosmetics products from plant raw extracts.
Mr. Deepanshu accompanied the students and gave a detailed tour of the industry during the whole visit. The Students first visited their research and development lab which is well equipped with instruments like pH meter, flame photometer, laminar air flow, BOD etc. where they maintain the standard of their existing products. Next, they moved towards main working area equipped with latest techniques machinery that is used in manufacturing of organic products.
Main unit include accumulation of raw material, contamination control chamber and ointment manufacturing plant. The next unit was packaging unit equipped with automatic packing machines, sealing machine, heat sealer, capping machine and filling machine. The students were accompanied by three faculty members Mrs. Shikha Vashisht, Dr. Sandeep Kaur and Ms. Nisha from Botany department. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, lauded the faculty members for organizing such knowledge filled educational visit for the students which give them exposure to different techniques used in manufacturing of herbal formulations.
