Jalandhar January 2 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)is one of the premier institutions of North India providing world class education to the students from all over India. KMV campus houses a beautiful hostel that provides most comfortable accommodation to the students.Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the KMV Hostel is situated within the precincts of the college and adds a tremendous glory to this heritage institution. Located in lush green and eco-friendly surroundings, the hostel building consists of four wings- Savitri Bhawan, Rai Bahadur Badri Das Hostel, Saraswati Bhawan and New Hostel.
Reputed for its intellectual vigour and homely ambience, KMV hostel offers elaborate arrangements to provide academically conducive, economically affordable accommodation with closely monitored/guarded security system. Furnished with state-of-the-art infrastructure, the institution provides all modern amenities to the boarders such as water coolers, solar system, T.V.LCD projector & newspapers. The rooms are spacious and airy. Students can make use of the college library in order to satisfy their academic needs. In order to ensure pure, uncontaminated and uninterrupted water supply, filters and purifiers have also been installed.
Special medical facilities are provided to the students
Hygienic mess with a spacious dining hall, attached with a modern kitchen equipped with latest gadgets, has an absolutely healthy environment. Physical well-being and healthcare of the boarders is one of the primary concerns of the authorities. Special medical facilities are provided to the students at all hours through a resident nurse. A provision has also been made for a daily doctor for consultation. Sprawling playgrounds within the campus for the daily practice of our budding sports stars is another feature in our endeavour to facilitate life in the hostel.Special coaching classes are held for resident scholars on demand. For the convenience of the boarders, numerous facilities like Bookshop, Bank and canteen are available in the premises only.

There are three STD booths operational in the hostel to facilitate the residents, Cubicle facility is also available exclusively for merit scholars.A state-of-the-art health club fitted with various devices like top-of-the-line multi- gym, magnetic bike, motorised treadmill, jogger, twister & massager etc. caters free of cost to the physical fitness of the boarders. We regularly arrange Yoga classes and Self Defence classes for the boarders for evolving them into confident individuals.Personal attention and care is given by the Principal and the staff with frequent visits to the hostel to ensure an atmosphere of mutual adjustability and emotional security conducive for personality development of the resident scholars.
We have a counsellor for the boarders who is always available to counsel the students. To foster moral values and a sense of respect for our culture among the boarders, prayer meetings are held in the evenings. All festive occasions are celebrated with great bonhomie in the hostel. As an institution, KMV is fully conscious of its role and responsibility in guiding our youth and channelizing their bubbling energies in positive direction.
