KMV successfully inaugurates a seven day NSS Camp

Jalandhar January 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully inaugurated a seven-day NSS Camp based on the theme “Clean, Green and Blue”. The first day of the camp commenced with the holy lighting of the lamp. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Vikrant Dutta ( Head and Chief Coordinator of Louis Braille Welfare Association for the Blind). Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi in her welcome address motivated all the volunteers to carry out activities under NSS camp with full enthusiasm and zeal and to make optimum use of this platform for social service.

Mr. Vikrant addressed the NSS Volunteers and told them about the problems of the blind, handicap people and other weaker section of society and told them about the importance of social service. He also emphasized on the role of youth in the nation building and motivated NSS Volunteers to work under different platforms of NSS.

Ms. Ashima Sahni NSS Programme Officer, Dr Sonik Bhatia, Mrs. Anand Prabha, & Dr. Iqbal Singh discussed with volunteers about schedule of the activities to be followed for one week which included the E- voter registration inside the campus, in the adopted villages of KMV under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan & in 36th Jalandhar North Constituency and Green Initiative which include cleanliness and tree plantation drive.

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi further maintained that KMV has always been taking various initiatives as KMV aims to contribute for the betterment of the society in various ways.
