Jalandhar September 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students of B.Sc. Home Science and B.Voc. (Nutrition, Exercise and Health) visited Department of Dietetics, PGIMER, Chandigarh to attend a Seminar on ‘Nutrition and Brain Health’ and celebrated ‘National Nutrition Month 2023’ under the Banner of NSI & IAPEN Chandigarh Chapter. These students were accompanied by Ms. Tarandeep Kaur and Ms. Shivani Bagga.
During the seminar, the students of KMV interacted with Dr. Nancy Sahni, Chief Dietician, PGIMER, Chandigarh and gained the immense knowledge through the discussion on various topics such asdiet and cognitive disorders, gut and brain axis, diet and vision, nutritional management in neuromuscular disorder, nutrition and brain health and case study.
Members of panel discussion also guided the students about the training they are providing to the budding nutritionists. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Mrs Neeti Kapoor, Head, Department of Home Science to conduct such activities which diversify the students’ knowledge about their curriculum.
