Jalandhar April 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised Haemoglobin check-up camp. The camp was organised by Red Ribbon Club under the aegis of Student Welfare Department. In this camp, along with Dr. Kusum Thakur and Dr. Reehan a team of doctors from Sriman Hospital, Jalandhar carried out the task of conducting the check up very efficiently.
During this camp, where the students came to know about the importance of haemoglobin in the human body, at the same time they also understood its proper quantity according to different age groups. Along with providing the information about the causes, symptoms and treatment of anaemia in the body, students were also advised about nutritious diet and regular exercise for its supply.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that it is very important to make youth aware about physical fitness because the role of youth in social construction is important and only by being healthy they can perform their duties with full positivity. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Dr. Manju Sahni and Mrs. Shikha Vashisht for successfully organising the event.
