Jalandhar February 24 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always excel in sports activities along with the academics. In an another major achievement, KMV’s Pencak silat team bagged various medals in the Inter-college held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Harshita bagged bronze medal in 45-50 kg category, Manpreet won a silver medal in 50-55 kg category, Vishavpreet Kaur won a bronze medal in 60-65 kg category, Hina bagged bronze medal in 65-70 kg category, Nitika secured a silver medal in 75-80 kg category and Gurjeet also secured a silver medal in 100 kg category.
In the team events, Kamaljeet and Manpreet secured a bronze medal in seni double Ganda and Shagun, Harshita & Vishavpreet secured a bronze medal in seni team Regu. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the team players and averred that players at KMV are provided many facilities which include free education, hostel, mess & transport facilities. They avail a lot from state of the art infrastructure comprising Gymnasium, Health Club, Swimming Pool and sprawling play grounds.
All these exceptional facilities elicit such excellent outcomes. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi also adumbrated that KMV will continue to provide these facilities to the students who continue to prove their mettle in sports arena. Madam Principal also lauded the efforts of Dr Davinder, Ms Baldina & Coach Mr. Sunil Kumar for this achievement.
