Jalandhar May 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In order to cater the rising need of analysing data in corporate world as well as in teaching, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, in its endeavour to provide hand on experience to students & faculty conducted One Day Workshop on “Basics of R-Studio” by Dr. Ravi Raj (Associate Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala).
Dr S.K Sood (Director, LKCTC) & Dr Inderpal Singh (HOD, Management) presented token of gratitude to Dr Ravi Raj.
Dr Inderpal Singh (HOD, Management) welcomed the dignitaries and stated that Dr. Ravi Raj is one of the renowned names in this field of research. He stated that post Covid 19 there has been increasing demand for data analytics & Business forecasting professionals as every country & business men wants to forecast the problems that may arise in future so that solutions to that problems can be found well in advance by collecting appropriate data and analysing that data so that problems caused by Covid 19 and other factors can be reduced to minimum.

R Studio is one of the innovative software to analyse the data and this workshop is organized to give practical inputs to students about thus software.
The resource person highlighted that R-Studio is an active member of the R community. It is free and open source data analysis software is a foundation for innovative and important work in science, education, and industry. Mainly this R-studio is useful for data analysis. In the field of teaching, R Studio gives educators and students an edge in understanding where and how improvements can be made in the learning process.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr Rupinder Sampla & Prof Simranjeet Kaur.
