
Jalandhar March 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- A memorandum of understanding between Lyallpur Khalsa College (LKC), one of the premiere institutes of North India, and Sanjhi Sikhiya Foundation (SSF). The MoU was signed by signed by Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Principal LKC and Mr. Gurjit Singh, Project Incharge, SSF. The MoU is aimed to transform the education system and develop young people as leaders in Punjab.
Principal Madam on this occasion said, “There is a lot to do in the field of youth development, career counseling, internships & entrepreneurship. Through these collaborations, educational institutes can sincerely try to bridge the gap between community and industry.” SSF representative Mr. Singh added, “Skill development sessions are the need of the hour for capacity building of our youth. Institutes like LKC can play a very important role in bridging the gap between community and governance.”
After signing MoU, Principal Madam informed that MoU includes workshops on Youth Development and Social Entrepreneurship, Joy of Learning Programs, short-term and long-term internships in the Punjab Youth Leadership Program and training sessions for faculty members on creating engaging classrooms using adult development pedagogy. Prof. Satpal Singh, NSS Program Officer, said that value addition resulting from this MoU will help faculty, students and community to work in coordination to bring positive changes in education system and budding young people as leaders in Punjab. On this occasion, Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Program Associate, SSF was also present.
