NCC Unit of PCM SD College for Women celebrates anniversary of Quit India Movement

Jalandhar August 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- NCC Unit of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar observed the anniversary of the Quit India Movement in collaboration with Department of History and Fine Arts. The objective was not just to celebrate this historic day but also to instill patriotic fervour in the cadets. They felt proud of the freedom fighters who laid their lives for the nation and its people and the day was celebrated to enliven their selfless determination and good will.

The cadets delivered speeches to exhibit their feelings. They also made posters on patriotic themes. Principal Prof (Dr) Pooja Prashar averred that such events are mandatory as they link cadets to their rich cultural history of valour and sacrifice. Members of the managing committee and Principal lauded the efforts of Lieutenant, Mrs Priya Mahajan and the cadets in memorializing this day.
