Jalandhar May 31 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PG Department of Fashion Designing organized an Industrial visit for the students to JCT Phagwara. The main aim of the visit was to promote practical knowledge of Garment manufacturing units of the industry. Students of B.Sc Semester VI, B.Voc Fashion Designing Semester VI and M.Sc. Semester IV visited various units of the industry. JCT Phagwara is an integrated Textile Industry catering domestic as well as international apparel market needs.
The information regarding the product and its manufacturing process from the stage of raw material to the stage of finished products was given to the students. The visit was a great learning experience for the students which inculcated practical insights about their curriculum. More than forty students benefitted from this educational visit and this will help them get industrial jobs in their career. Members of the managing committee and Dr. (Mrs.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of Department of Fashion Designing for organizing such visits for the betterment of the students.
