Jalandhar June 5 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PG Department of Fashion Designing organized an Industrial visit for the students to Umang exports, Jalandhar. The main aim of the visit was to promote practical knowledge in garment manufacturing units of the industry. Students of B.Sc Semester VI, B.Voc Fashion Designing Semester VI and M.Sc. Semester IV visited various units of the industry. The industry is an integrated Textile unit catering domestic as well as international sportswear market needs.
The information regarding the product and its manufacturing process from the stage of raw material to the stage of finished products was given to the students. The visit was a great learning experience for the students which inculcated practical insights about their curriculum. More than thirty students benefitted from this educational visit and this will help them get industrial jobs in their career.
President Shri Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the department for holding the visit for the holistic development of the students.
