Jalandhar November 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the second day of Zonal Youth Festival conducted by GNDU, 17 items – Costume Parade, Mime, Mimicry, Skit, One Act Play, Western Vocal (Solo), Geet/Gazal, Group Shabad/ Bhajan, Group Song (Indian), Rangoli, Phulkari, Mehendi, Poetical Symposium, Elocution and Debate were conducted.
Keeping up with the excellent performances, Apeejayites shone on the second day too. They clinched 1st position in 8 items and 2nd in 2 items.
*The Results of Day 1* –
1st Position in Vaar Singing, Folk Orchestra, Classical Music Vocal (Solo), Clay Modelling, Poster Making and Cartooning.
2nd Position in Kawishri, Folk Song, Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Painting on the Spot, Collage and Quiz (Preliminary) and 3rd position in Installation.
*The Results of Day 2* –
Apeejayites bagged 1st position in Mime, Mimicry, Rangoli, Mehendi, Poetical Symposium, One Act Play. The best actors from the one act play were Iqra (1st position), Ankush & Gurasis(2nd Position). ACFA bagged 2nd position in Costume Parade and Phulkari.
The results of Western Vocal (Solo), Western Group Song, Western Instrumental (Solo), Geet/Ghazal, Group Shabad/Bhajan, Group Song (Indian) are still pending and haven’t been announced yet by the University.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her joy to see the students making their college proud and wished them luck. She especially admired the efforts of mentors, Dr. Amita Mishra, Dean, Youth Festival and Dr. Arun Mishra, Dean, Cultural Advisor for their immaculate guidance.
