Students learn the art of “Anchoring and stage craft” at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar

Jalandhar July 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Students awaiting their class 12 results tried their hand at ‘Anchoring and Stage Craft’ at a three week workshop organised by Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and Theatre & stage Craft at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. They learnt the basic of anchoring for TV and stage along with different program formats.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views said in today’s times when social media has become a rage, everyone is producing and anchoring videos – one cannot be untouched by this phenomena. This workshop will established the basic skills and other technicalities required for the same which will be useful for them in their career.”

During the workshop, students learn about formal, semi-formal and informal anchoring along with script writing.Elements of stage design, importance of lights, makeup and costume, production process were also taught. Students enjoyed the learning process thoroughly and practiced by completing their assignments.
