Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts compete with students of 124 universities and outshine in National Level Youth Festival by obtaining first and second positions

Jalandhar March 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar excel not only in academic arena but carve their names in cultural activities also. They participated in National Level Youth Festival, organised by “Jain Deemed University Bengaluru” from 24th February to 28th February. Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts represented Guru Nanak Dev University and competed with students of 124 Universities. They obtained first and second positions.

In Western Vocal (solo), Kritika Sharma bagged first position. In Western Group Song, Kritika Sharma, Deepali Pameh, Nargis, Harsifat Kaur, Jasleen Kaur and Bhavini Rampal enchanted everyone with their melodious performance and bagged first position.

In Classical Instrumental (Non-Percussion), Sehajdeep Singh mesmerized everyone with his performance of Sitar and bagged first position. Gurasis Singh, Ramneesh, Iqra Sharma, Nirvair Singh, Ankush and Mahesh Kumar satirized social problems through their skit performance and bagged second position.

Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, congratulated students on this big achievement. She expressed that Apeejay college has been winning Zonal and Inter-Zonal Youth Festivals, organised by Guru Nanak Dev University for the last 22 years consecutively and have been successful in North Zone, too.

She opined that students and staff members are on cloud nine with this victory. She appreciated the efforts of cultural coordinator, Dr. Arun Mishra, Dean Youth Festival, Dr. Amita Mishra and Dr. Micky Verma.
